We've always focused the stream on real-time updates, but before today you needed to refresh your browser to see the most recent posts since logging in. The stream now updates automatically.

We've just introduced an easy way to tell friends that you like/dislike what they're sharing on Friendsta with one easy click. Wherever you can add a comment on your friends' content, you'll also have the option to click "Like" or "Dislike" to tell your friends exactly that: "I like that." or "Does not like that."

  1. Dragable layouts for Profile and My Home

  2. Tabbed content feeds for My Home

  3. New user installed applications (ie Friends of Friends, Gifts, etc...)

  4. Pages application (allows users to make pages for things they like ie bands, tv shows etc...)

  5. User connections (users on the site can now only see updates from there friends)

  6. Better security has now been added to logins (log in incorrectly 3 times and be forced to enter a image code in)

  7. Users can now only befriend from within the same network (ie users, band, photographers)


Ill go more into detail on other changes later when I get a chance

...]]> Okay, so I have decided to revert back to the originial design on Friendsta due to a few factors, one of these been the new dragable content pages. The dragable content pages can be viewed at My Home and & Profile pages. With the dragable content you can reorganise your pages the way that you would like. We have also opted to add the colour changing profiles back for the time been. In addition to these changes the other major change is the new App called 'My Applications'. The My Applications app allows you to install apps directly onto your page, and you can customising them the way that you like. This is a great App as now we can expand from the standard apps I have already installed.

...]]>  Okay guys, time to fill you in on some more updates that the team Friendsta have been working on. A few of these have been requested by you guys, and others are existing features that I have just worked on producing a bit better. So without further ado lets roll them out.

1) The relocation of 'My Apps' to be included within the 'Chat' task bar (located bottom left of screen)

2) Instant status updates from 'My Home', still working on 'Profile' ones. This fairly much means you click on your current status and you'll be instantly transformed into a input box for which you can change the status. Once you happy just click outside of the box, and your status is changed. How good is that

3) The greatly awaited 'My Emotion', is not far off been finished now. I have recently hired some more developers to help with this.

4) Points system is now in full swing, with users been able to purchase featured 'Profiles', 'Events' etc...

5) Profile completion bar has now been added to 'My Home', only works so far for Standard Users and outlines a percentage of information filled in.

6) Two brand new 'Profile Layouts' have now been added, these are 'Coke' and 'Jump'

7) Friends of Friends has now been added to 'My Home' and also under the Friends tab

...]]> Over the last couple of days I have been performing some updates on Friendsta, most noted are the additional section within a profile now. These new tabs are schools, and jobs. These tabs allow you to list companies that you have worked for, or are currently working for, and the schools tab allows for you to list the schools, institutes, and universities that once again you have attended or are currently attending. In addition to this we have also made great progress on the blogs application which nows allows users to subscribe to there friends blogs etc So what does all this mean for me? Well it means you can now share a greater slice of your life with your friends.

But over the pass few days I have been doing some tiding up of what we have on Friendsta, and in turn have fixed some of the issues outlined in chat the application, and have extended the features within the Music application so that you can easily reorder your playlists, plus the new feature of been able to see others songs from the Music option in the top menu. I am also in the process of fixing up Blogs, and re-enabling Events on Friendsta.

Over the next few days hopefully, (fingers crossed), myself and the Friendsta Team will be performing some work on the applications that we currently have on Friendsta. We will be starting with a complete overhall of the Photo Gallery application which will hopefully be operational by the weeks end. In addition to this, there has been a few requests for chat or a better messaging system on Friendsta, please be advised that we are currently in the process of adding a chat module, and ill suppy some images below of what it may look like
